Setting up JRiver for MQA
« on: February 08, 2016, 11:48:21 am »

Having trouble adjusting JRiver to bit perfect so I can play my MQA files. Any suggestions would be welcome.`

MQA isn't supported and probably won't be supported due to licensing requirements.

Here's a topic regarding it: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=101860.0

Im not sure I understand your remarks. JRiver doesn't have to support MQA. All it has to do is pass the file bit perfect to my dac. My dac decodes it. Is there no way to set up JRiver as a bit perfect player?

Audirvana plays MQA just fine, but I would prefer to stay with JRiver. But I need a bit perfect player.

In all likelihood for JRiver to pass MQA files, it'd have to support them in the first place. Which it doesn't and probably won't.

Append
Are Media Center 31 MQA ready?
Recodes MC31 MQA to pure PCM for not MAC ready DACs? (Audirvana do it)

I had only some MQA music downloaded from 2L Music Store https://shop.2l.no/

But MQA self is going into administration.
