Media Center on QNAP and PC in parallel with same media library?

Hello,

does anyone know if it's possible to run JRiver with a library on a NAS and edit the same library (i.e. stored on the NAS) from a PC?

The meaning of this is to stream independently from the NAS but to be able to make larger library reorganizations from a PC.
