On some windows like options or skin effects. The purity skin has a dark border it should not have.

This showed up when higher dpi options were added.
At 200% the dark border is gone.

technically Purity and Purity Dark are not default skins ... its third party. Go into effects and just turn down the contrast a bit. Not all skins have all functionalities, unless their authors modified them. You can modify them yourself (see http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=41727.0 and check out the dedicated forum for more info and other skins)

BTW if you are a fan using the new tag window, I have reskinned Purity (or at least Purity Dark, don't remember). I can post it in the skin forum if you want.

At 200% the Purity dialogues look OK, above that they begin to look amateur, and as you come down from there to 100% the internal border increases.

The fix is to create separate images for each % increment. That was too much for me and my skin, so I settled at 100%, 200%, 300% and 400%, and think I just about got away with it.

just because it gets downloaded it makes it default? ... why does some of the functionality of Noire skins not get ported over to them all then? If its a JRiver skin then there's some work to do ... I'll suggest it in the quick suggestion post

Well, yes, Noire is the installed default, but Purity is provided in the default MC skin choices, installed by the MC installer, making it JRiver's responsibility, I guess.
