Gizmo won't work outside of home

Hello, I've had this problem for some time now. I've never been able to get Gizmo to connect outside of my home. Once I'm out of range of wifi, it will not connect.
I can get Google play on my android phone to connect to my library, but not Gizmo/JRiver.
Current phone is a Droid Turbo 2 on Verizon.
I have an ASUS router- model- RT-AC68U Dual Band

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Can you connect to your home network (from "outside your network") on this site?
