Accented characters

It seems impossible to enter accented characters to input boxes in JRiver: When I try to enter the conductor »René Jacobs«, I can write only »Rene Jacobs«. This is strange and I don’t like it. Can I change this?

With MC for Mac, entering foreign language characters requires a special key sequence:  <command> k

That will pop up a box allowing you to enter special characters.
