Rebuild Filename fields in database
« on: May 06, 2016, 07:37:01 pm »

My music "filename" column entries are corrupted due to user error.  All other fields are good. How can I rebuild the filename fields? Is there an easy way to do this pulling automatically from the other fields?

You should probably restore your library (database) from a previous backup.  MC makes automatic backups every couple of days.

File > Library > Restore Library

To be extra cautious, you might make a backup of your broken library first:

File > Library > Backup Library .  I'd probably name this one so it's easy to recognize.  So put "broken file names" or something in it's title.  Just a precaution.  The restore of a backup from a few days ago should work just fine.

Good luck.
