After launching MC the mac keyboard audio controls often (if not always) don't work until about 10 mins after the launch for some reason.
I find the keyboard controls for playback (F keys) a lot more convenient than the built-in ones that take 2 fingers.
This is not a new issue of MC22 for me but has been around for quite some time now. I think someone else had mentioned
it a while ago on the MC21 forum.
