offline media

Hi AGAIN!

I hope you guys don't get fed up with all my questions.

I have somewhat limited HD space, and do use my DVD burner to store media offline (lots of tv series).

Is there any way to include this in the MC database, so you are instructed to insert CD4 or whatever when requested from the GUI?

If not, could something like this be implemented?
A simple way would be to "hardcode" a filename like "offline.off" that you would have in a directory.
It could contain one or more references to name of file, instructions etc...

The file would get imported and the info added to the database.

The file could be created from the library tools "make available offline" and you have to write down the cd number and simple instructions. Then you could burn and delete.

It could also be generated outside by manual or some simple program someone could hack together.

I think a file is preferd over having it in the DB.. you DO NOT want to loose that information!

You get where I'm going?
