"Couldn't create WebRemote listener"?
« on: July 30, 2003, 09:29:53 am »

For the last two or three builds I've been getting the above error when I start MC, followed by "Failed to start Remote Server".

I've tried changing the port in the options, but that makes no difference.  I've also tried uninstalling MC manually before installing the latest build, also no luck.

Any suggestions?

If you have the WebRemote plugin installed, uninstall it.

Thanks, but nope, afraid not.  (I'm assuming I should be looking under the plugin manager - nothing under any of the groups there.)

The new RemoteServer is configured under options/startup and I assume you are doing that.

I just confirmed that it works here, so I don't know what the problem could be.

Any changes to the OS or configuration?

Nothing that I can recall but as no-one else is reporting this I must have done something.  I'll have a proper look at it tonight.

I had MusicLobby working last week, so I've definitely had it working...

I'll try and do a completely clean install.  If I uninstall MC manually (again), will it remove all of the registry entries?  Anything else I should check to ensure a clean new installation?
