Setting up music files- stuck in the mud
« on: December 11, 2016, 12:54:57 pm »

Well, I got my FLAC files in my music folder finally. Now I'm trying for JR mc to see those files or to import them so I can play them. I tried Options>Library & Folder> configure.
I'm stuck as I see no importation of files after setting it up and hitting next. Is there a better way of doing this?

You need to set up auto import.  Tools > Import.  Add or Edit folders to watch.

Interesting, now, i'm getting no sound with JR mc. Also tried troubleshooting the sound and clicked on one of my music files just for kicks. Wham, grove music pops open and the music starts playing. Looks like JR mc is not my default media player. Also, I can only play those FLAC files when my external hd is plugged in and on. That's not exactly what I had in mind. I want to leave the hd at home and play those files on my laptop anytime anywhere.

I'm back on track. Set JRmc as the default player. Also, went into output devices and checked Realtek HD wasapi. Its all working now.
