Depending on the cover, .gif is sometimes a more appropriate format for Cover Art. Are there plan to include Cover Art .gif support?

it already does support bmp, gif, and jpg

Hrm, I spoke too soon, but it doesn't appear to work using the Quick Find in File / Cover Art function.

For example, drop the Tool - Undertow graphic from Amazon in a directory. Make sure it's the only graphic file because I know MC won't try & differentiate which one is correct. Then right-click, Cover Art, Quick Find, and it won't recognize the .gif. The .gif can be found here:
