Upgrade from v14 to v22
« on: May 02, 2017, 05:34:05 am »

Hi, I'm still running version 14 and, for the most part, still happy with it. It's my main image library for something like
20,00 jpegs as well as 20,000 mp3s. But, I think it might be time to modernise somewhat.

Trouble is, I'm really rusty on Media Centre, so, can someone help me with these please :-

> Can I download v22 and run it on the same pc as my v14 without it affecting v14 whilst I compare?
> Do I get a free trial period for v22 for comparison reasons?
> If I go with v22, pay and install it, is the migration from v14 to v22 difficult very complicated?

Anyone helping would be greatly appreciated but, now having advanced to old age, please give simple to understand answers....thanks...Jim

It is possible to use two different versions on the same machine.  The upgrade to MC22 should be automatic.  You do receive a trial.

Just backup your library in the old version and restore it in the new version.  The version changed, but it shouldn't matter.
