Playlists not appearing in Android Gizmo?
« on: July 06, 2017, 05:34:06 pm »

Hi folks,

I have a Windows 10 VM running on a Synology NAS (under BETA version of Synology Virtual Machine Manager), which has MediaCenter 22 installed on it (and nothing else).

It works flawlessly!

It's setup with MC Server to dish up my collection to a variety of network audio around the house (Various TV's with Chromecasts, Yamaha network Amp, Sonos Play:1, and a couple of Panasonic AllPlay wireless speakers) along with a number of PC's running MC 22 to connect to the shared library.

However, one thing I've found is that when I browse my collection using Gizmo on my Android devices, OR from another instance of MC22 (Windows) on the LAN, everything works A-OK, EXCEPT, all Playlists show up, but they are all empty.

This doesn't happen if I'm browsing the library from the VM.

Is there some trick to getting Playlists to appear over DLNA / Gizmo?

cheers

Hi again,

More info:

It seems that the playlists in my MC22 Library were empty. I went back to my old MC21 database (I add a new database each time I install a new MC version), and all the Playlists were populated.

I exported them from the MC21 library, and imported them into the MC22 library, and now they show up fine in Gizmo and elsewhere.

Sorry for the false alarm!
