I get the following error in MC 22:

"Something went wrong with playback.
Details:
Playback could not be started on the output ‘ASIO’ using the format ’44.1 kHZ 2ch’.
This output format may not be supported by your hardware.  You can use DSP Studio to change the output to a compatible format.
Also, Make sure that your system has a valid sound playback device and that it is properly configured in playback options."

Setup:
MC v22.0.1.108 to Bryston BDP-3 to Bryston BDA-3 to stereo preamp
All content is 2 Channel (Stereo) Flac
Bryston USB Driver v3.40.0 installed
MC Audio Device:  "Bryston USB Audio ASIO Driver" is selected
Win 7 Professional

MC works fine to computer speakers
Playback through Roon V1.3 to Bryston/preamp works fine

I have searched through posts with the above error message and have tried some suggestions, but no help.

  • Where did I put my teeth?

Try resampling to 48.  DSP Studio > Output Settings

I changed it to: Input 44,100 Hz & Output 48,000 Hz.
Similar error message except that it now shows "... using the format 48 kHz 2ch".

There is an audio setup problem with the device.  Try reinstalling the driver.  Try rebooting.  Try Bryston support.
