I Have Been Working On A Program For A Few Days That Will Search For And Then Display The Current Charts For The Current Week.

Would This Be Usefull?

What Other Options Should The Program Have?

Should It Do Anything Else?

Sounds pretty cool. Will it do the UK charts too or just the US one? (Not that the UK chart is ever really worth listening to but...

I started manually making playlists of the Billboard top 20 RnB+Hip-Hop charts but it's a slow long process.

Would LOVE it if ur plugin would do it.

Could we manually select which charts it does?

I just want playlists for each chart each week created

Currently There is about 8 - 10 charts you can select manualy or select batch and it will find all and put into a List.

you will need to e-mail me a playlist or what your talking about. if your talking about an MC9 play list would you not need the files first?

I was thinking about allowing this to be saved in Excel format so you can do what ever you want with the list.

currently it gets the chart highest possion, song, and artist name. I was thinking about adding the Chart name it was on. this way if you did a batch you will know what chart it was on.

I usually have most the songs though and if I dont I can get them easily.

Maybe even try to find the songs for me, if u cant find them in my library then compose a list of songs that are missing that I need in order to have the full chart

sorry thats not going to happen

I think exporting them to a file and you can do with what you want with it, is about as far as i am going to go with that.

Looks and sounds good!!!

Can you also make option to select tag where you want to save found info?
So that you can select for example notes field or a custom field instead of overwriting comment tags.

I don't know what your talking about.

this has nothing to do with the comment field

if your talking about My other program it has nothing to do with this one. and what your asking for Chart, Lyrics, Bios And Coverart Finder Already Does.

it'd be more useful as a stand alone program so I could have the chart list next to me as I'm using MC to create the playlists.

Love your work, baby (bad Kojak impersonation)! How possible is this:

A plugin that, when you select an artist name from the "Album Artist (auto)" or "Artist" column in the top View Scheme panes, displays (somewhere on the screen, or "automagically" creates a new playlist) similar artists? You know, kinda like Amazon does with the "Customers who shopped for this item also shopped for these items", only I don't care about what other people bought (and that info would be difficult to obtain), I would just like to see some suggestions for related artists. Do you think you could swing this? I'm a coder too (VB, C++, C#), but don't have enought time to fully develop, but would be happy to assist of wanted/needed.

well you would need a database that would have been labled by someone who is a similar artist.

maybe this if you click on the list send you to amazon to buy the song and artist and let amazon tell you who is similar.

I Updated The Picture Above

If you select A Song\Artist You Can Now Press "Buy" and it will Take You To Amazon.com Using The Artist name And Song name As A Search Parm.

It Now Will Also Export The List To Excel Format

Name - Artist like it is now,
having it split to seperate columns for each?
I just find it a LOT clearer to work with and read. I can browse down one column to look at the artist and one for the track name.

Right now it means scanning left and right as well to find the start of the name

1. Added 1, 5, 10, 15 years ago
2. If Under 10 Added A "0" in front Of Peek
3. added the 1, 5, 10, 15 years ago to the batch (note there is now 420 songs in the database after a batch)
4. Added Year

one thing i noticed the 1, 5, 10, 15 years ago has another format so i had to make the program a bit smarter and detect the change in the HTML. right now it download the HTML and then trims it down and then looks for the data. if the wrong format it redownloads a fresh HTML then goes to format 2. tomorrow I will try to make it a bit smarter and only download the HTML once.

I had an idea to allow you when you select a song, copy the artist name and song name to the clipboard.

This will allow you to use this in other search engines.

i will put that in when i get home from work.

also last night i made sure this all fits into a 800x600 window

if you can see in the window a program "Cover Art Finder" this is the only thing it does is find cover art. it also has a few bug fixes that are not in chart, lyrics, bios and cover art finder yet. if i can get to it i may put that out today also.

yes, but if you go to my web site i placed the OCX file on there when there is an update you can just replace the old OCX file.

chart grabber needed excel MS Office runtime files thats why it is a bit large

so you don't need to download the whole big ass file. i think the Chart finder OCX is is about 560k and Chart Grabber Is Like 440+k

I just made some changes in the program..

I ran a test and batched the program it seems the MS office control I am using does not like it when you try to save like 15,000+ lines in the spread sheet.

So when you do a batch and you have export on it now will save the databases for each Chart Button using the button name.

So you can still batch all the lists if you want but the data will be saved in separate files.

Lovely - any chance of making the size of this resizeable?
I have 1600x1200 and it's lovely but ur plugin hides in a tiny little corner so I have to scroll the list etc instead of seeing it big and proud with the full list on the screen

the program is resizable

if your talking about the MC9 plug-in it will resize later.

I am working on the New Chat program download link above, when done it will replace the other.

this is basicly to see if it worked and it does so i need to add some options and get it ready to port to MC9.
