So in light of the up-coming ZoneSync feature, in remembering Doctor Who, and having just been exposed to Spotify and its Discord integration, I had an idea, though I'm not entirely certain of its viability and the scope of what would have to be done to develop it.
Would it be possible to implement a way for those who don't have a full JRiver licence (as well as those who do) to listen to music I'm currently playing?
Maybe, like...a feature in Panel, accessible via an access code or whatever that I can provide to someone or a group of people. Then, I use MC24 to play either only to it or, via ZoneSync, to both it and my own player.
Also, if allowed (via check box option), a given person who has my access code can go in to this hypothetical Panel feature and choose to listen to what I'm hearing of their own accord á la the Listen on Spotify button in Discord.
...I suppose this would be something of an answer to Spotify's SDK not allowing commercial software integration, but it would also be really cool for music sharing in general while eliminating the need for me to access Panel on something like Rabb.it, give my (privileged) Media Network credentials to others, or have friends buy and download their own copies of MC24 (or for me to share my product key with them—not that I have done so).
Even better if it supports video, but one thing at a time.
Feature itself could be turned on and off in Options > General > Features
Feasible?
Also, since we're on the subject, will ZoneSync work in Linux builds?
