Hi,

I have a problem with the way Auto-Import currently works. I have several sets of folders from which I would like to auto-import videos. For most folders, I'd like to have the "Get cover art" and "Get movie & TV info" options enabled, since these videos are mainstream titles. But for some OTHER folders, I want the "Get cover art" and "Get movie & TV info" options DISabled, because these videos aren't popular/mainstream releases and the online metadata lookup often confuses them for other titles with similar names (I then have to manually delete the cover art and info).

I CAN'T have all these folders set to auto-import together, because MC will mess up (and keep messing up) many of the non-mainstream titles' metadata, yet I do WANT them all auto-imported, because I frequently add/delete/move files using external programs and don't want to have to manually import everything, or delete library entries when files are deleted externally.

I'd like to see the addition of auto-import "groups", each of which would contain a different set of folders, with different settings for the optional "tasks".

I hope you will seriously consider adding this feature. In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions that could ease the pain of my not being able to auto-import all of my folders?

Use Tag on Import rule to set them either (1) properly tagged with a [Series] or whatever you need, so that they do look up right, or (2) if that's impossible, set them to a [Media Sub Type] other than TV Show or Movie, and then they won't look up at all.
