First, I am very new to this program. I don't mind people poking me for being dumb. I am just a Newby and I can take it.
Here is my question. I purchased MC23 3 weeks ago. I have been busy as all get out ripping hundreds of CD's into FLAC file on my Windows 10 PC.
I downloaded and installed MC24. Now I see all my files have been converted to M4a.
I can rip new files into FLAC.
I want FLAC files not M4a files right ?

I wish there was someone in the Central Valley of California that can get a look at what I am doing and straighten me out.

MC doesn't ever convert your files unless you tell it to.  You may have imported a directory from iTunes.

Set up auto import options under Tools > Import.

Restore a backup from MC23.
