MC goes through reinstall on windows 10 reboot
« on: May 12, 2018, 04:35:49 pm »

I have JRiver set to have MC and Media server run on startup using Windows 10. Wondering do any other folks experience that randomly this requires a reinstall process. Probably happens less than 20% of the time.

Thanks

JR MC 24 reinstalls all the time, maybe 50% of the time.  This has been true for previous versions as well.  What to do??

Are you sure that it isn't just updating to the latest version?

Help > Update Channels > Disable automatic update (not recommended)

If you set that, does the problem go away?

I always manually update MC when I want to, not when the next version is available, because I like to be in control. Just remember to check the Release Notes every now and then, and upgrade when you see some useful functionality you want to try out.
