[24.0.27; Query—Answered] Linking DLNA server to zone
« on: May 16, 2018, 07:16:47 pm »

How do I link zones and DLNA servers together? As in, When playing to this zone, use these DLNA server settings.

I'm trying to push to my Xbox One with specific DSP settings. I know that this can be accomplished by pulling but that's not what I'm trying to accomplish. Looking for a way to automate this.

See attachment. EMERALD being my Xbox One.

From the tree view on the left side, right-click on the DLNA zone. In the menu that pops-up, toward the bottom, is a sub-menu called 'Associate with DLNA Server' which will let you select which DLNA server configuration to associate with that zone.

Ahh, okay. Thank you. :)

Since we're talking about zones, another query: What does the Player > Zone > Set Startup Volume option do? I toggle to the desired zone and enter a value there but once I go back through the menu, I discover that the option I chose is unselected. It doesn't appear to affect volume during play-back.

That in mind, is there an option to have JRiver always play to a given zone at x volume level?

You can set the startup volume for each zone.  They are separate.

Right. I'm saying that the option doesn't take.

I'm just going to assume that MC cannot dictate the start-up volume of my A/V receiver with that option. Not a big deal, really.

My primary question was answered though. I appreciate it. :)
