MC24-64bit LAV splitter problem [Solved -- antivirus]

Hi everyone. Theo here.
Been a user for quite a while, and absolutely love this product and the
warm community, but I 've failed miserably to become a tech-literrati.

Now, I have a problem with video playback;
but.....only when I install the MC24 64bit version.

Whenever I try to play a video file with the 64bit version,
I get a "failed to install LAV splitter, please download."
I quoted from memory, but something like that.
Any file type: mp4, wmv etc., etc.

I naturally own a legitimate license,
a 64-bit machine (MSI notebook).
OS is Win10.
DAC is FOSTEX HP3 or 4.
I do have a larger display, but the problem will take place
in any environment: stand-alone, connected ot the Web and/or
a HDMI output.
This has happened during Red October Standard mode.

Do I need to download another software or app
to make the 64-bit version workable?

The problem doesn't occur when using the 32bit version
(But I do own a 64-bit machine).

To my knowledge, this is the first time I've seen such an
error message, and I've used 64bit versions in the past.
I seached and sorted past Q&As, but couldn't nail down
a similar question.

So.
I hope somebody out there --in here-- would be kind enough to
(1) guide me as to which Q&A I should be refering to;
or
(2) to instruct me on how to narrow down the possible causes.

Security software on your machine may be preventing the download.  Firewall or antivirus?

LAV64 should be in your Users>Appdata>Roaming>JRiver>Plugins folder. There is some help here https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,112653.msg792955.html#msg792955

MC needs to download some files in order to play video, LAV filters are part of that download.  You need to make sure your computer is connected to the internet, and, as Jim mentioned, antivirus software is not trying to block you, so that MC can download the needed components.  This is needed usually on your first attempt at playing a video.  Once downloaded, MC will not need to download them again.  From time to time, an updated MC will need updated component files, but this does not happen frequently.

Thank you so much, JimH, swiv3d and Yaobing!

I can now watch my mp4 files(these being the only ones I tested for now).

I mainly followed JimH's advice, viz., I disabled my N〇rton antivirus software
temporarily and at the same time made my PC stand alone.
Then I reinstalled the 64bit version and voila!
     * This is sort of strange, you know, because whenever I download MC,
        my anitivirus software would pop up an "all clear" message.

As an insignificant aside, I tried to read and comprehend the
discussions and links regarding LAV filters......but I can safely say
I wouldn't pass an elementary exam on this.
Please wish me better luck next time.

Anyhow, my MC24 x64 now works for video too.

My heartfelt gratitude to you great people.
