Sync Issues
« on: June 17, 2018, 07:48:37 am »

I am using MC v24.0.30 (64-bit) on MS Windows 10 Pro v10.0.17134 Build 17134.

When syncing to a SanDisk 256 GB microSDXC card, I am notified that the sync has finished (see "Pane.png"); however, there are some empty folders.

For example, in the Pane screenshot, notice that it shows multiple Adele files that have been synced to "G:\Music\Adele". In the folder screenshot ("Folder.png"), you will see that is actually empty.

ideas?

Couldn't replicate this with a folder on a usb drive (MC 24.0.34). You might want to check the card for disc errors. Properties>tools>error checking. Might be nothing to do with it but worth excludingit from the possibilities.

Did the MC show the Adele files as "One Device" before you ran sync this time? If so this would have been from a previous sync that included the files, so Handheld Sync wouldn't have synced them again... but if they had been removed using an external application, or if MC got a little out of whack, you could get the result you see.

Try running "Rechceck Sync" and then check the status of the files displayed. If they move to "In Queue" again, retry a sync and see if that fixes the issue.

Note: You should find a "Database.mpl" file in the "G:\Music" directory (I think) of the SD Card, which is a file created by MC that represents what it thinks has been synced to the card. If you check that before you run "Rechceck Sync" and then after, you should see the changes regarding the Adele files. MC uses the "Database.mpl" file to rather than scanning the whole SD Card to see what is on there each time Handheld Sync is started, to speed up the whole process.

Yep. Apparently a bad microSD card. Even the playlists were corrupted.

Thanks for the responses!
