Why not rip movies
« on: July 07, 2018, 03:02:19 pm »

With everything Media Center can do, why not movie ripping?  It sucks having to use a 3rd party program when I am sure this can be added simply to MC.

You can rip movies with Media Center - I'd recommend doing a search of the forums for more information on how to do it.. But for things like encrypted Blu-ray discs it likely needs a third-party decryptor like AnyDVD HD (or you can rip discs with MakeMKV which is pretty easy, IMO). For legal reasons, JRiver (which is a US-based company) can't add any type of "decryptor" into their software, as that might open them up to litigation.
