I use JRemote on an iphone.  It is excellent software (even though it occasionally gets its graphics confused and needs to be restarted).  It is very fast.  I have over 400 playlists and you can just zip right through them to pick what you want.

Not so with the Panel.  The panel is  fast with scrolling playlists on the same machine as MC24, although separating the playlists into multiple screen slows down the process.  The issues with the Panel for me is that on an iPhone, scrolling 400 playlists is laborious and slow.  Very hesitant and jerky to scroll through the playlists.  To me, that immediately takes Panel out of the running and I stick with JRemote.
