MC24 No Play

Been using MC23 with no problems updated to MC24 and songs start to play but just stops. Try different setting but no luck, I just go back to MC23 with no issues. Running High Sierra.

Also I uninstalled MC24 and redownloaded and same thing. Using 24.0.45 now, same thing.

Are the audio settings similar? Did you change anything (music folders, drivers, ...) besides updating from 23 to 24?
Where are your music files residing? Are the audio files actually available to your library? Where does MC output to (similar output as streaming)? Do you hear a sound and then the music stops or does it "stop" directly after you hit play?

The music never starts playing, it does stop after you hit play. Same settings for all MC, output is the same too. I might clear library and start over, all upgrades over the years I've never had to do this.

Are you playing locally or to another device?
What version of MC do you have? 24.0.45 is at the top of this board.

Yes, 24.0.45. I'll mess with it some more it has to be something simple. Playing locally on MC23, where can I set locally at (main library is all I ever see).

Have you read "Audio Setup" on the wiki?

Make sure preview mode isn't on. That would play the start of a song and stop.
In the menu, Player > Preview Mode, select Play Entire Song.

What Jim was trying to ask is, what audio device are you using? Is it a USB DAC ? Or a network based device? Something else?

Using USB Dac, MC23 works fine same settings in MC24. Streaming radio works fine, both 23/24 use main library. "Play Entire Song" was checked, also when I go to "File" up top and select "Open Media File" go to my NAS and click a song it plays fine?
