Hi Everyone,

My instance of JRiver MC has started crashing frequently -- I think daily. I think this is due to one of two reasons:

1. I've recently started using a HEOS soundbar. My media PC, where MC runs, is connected to it via an HDMI cable. The TV is connected to it via another HDMI cable. It seems like MC becomes unresponsive at some point after switching the soundbar's input from the media PC to the TV. Is this possible?

2. I recently installed the Zoom video player, which comes with a bunch of different audio and video codecs. Perhaps one of these is interfering with MC? I've used this combination of software many times in the past, and had no issues. Anyone know of any recent incompatibilities?

Sorry, should have been more specific -- it just hangs. If I click on the app, then Windows says it's not responding and I have to force-close it.

I enabled logging to try to capture the event that causes this hang. But I must be doing something wrong -- twice I've found MC unresponsive, and all I can do is force-quit it. After MC restarts, I save the log ("View current log"). But on both occasions, when I then reviewed the log, it only includes events after the restart. How do I capture events before the restart?

I've attached a screenshot of how logging is configured.

Once you have closed MC 24 after a hangup go to C:Users/Your username/Appdata/Roaming/J River/Media Center 24  and in there you will find a file called Log.txt. If you restart MC24 it will overwrite the existing logfile - hence you only get the fresh new log file. Also I would limit the size of the logfile in the settings you show to be only 5mb otherwise you will get a file that is so big it will take ages to open in the Windows Notepad app.

But, the log is huge -- about 700MB! So, I won't post it here. But here is a snippet, from the beginning and end, and I hope with irrelevant sections removed:

Media Center crashed at about 7.40pm today, which seems to align with the end of this log (I assume the number on the left is milliseconds since the log began). However, I don't see anything in this log with gives useful information. Can someone interpret this for me? Or, do I need to provide more of the log?

This is still happening with the latest build. Is there nothing in the log that indicates the cause of this issue?
