Can't play ripped CD's in MC 24

In MC24, when I try to play my ripped CD's, I get the error message Playback could not be started on the output ‘Kernal Streaming’ using the format ’44.1 kHz 2ch’. I don't know how to fix this. My flac files play fine if they are from downloads and not CD's. Please help.

The wiki has a topic on Audio Setup.  Use WASAPI or ASIO if available, but not Kernel Streaming.
