Drag file to playlist not working, Ubuntu 18.04
« on: December 14, 2018, 09:34:40 pm »

Drag to playlist is not working on my Ubuntu 18.04 installation of MC24. Can I turn on debug messages or logging to find out why? I drag the same .pls & .m3u files for radio stations that work fine on my Windoz installation & they don't get dropped into the list. Here are the contents of a typical wumb.pls file for a radio station(just the url):

Under Help you can turn on logging. For me it gets thrown into ~./.jriver/Media Center 24/Log.txt It may be somewhere different on your Ubuntu installation.

Open a terminal type "tail -f ~./.jriver/Media Center 24/Log.txt" and then do that again and see if anything happens when you drag the file in.

I might be wrong, but I don't think dragging to playlist has been done for Linux yet. That's my likely guess.

Thanks for the clarification, that makes sense. I remember now, when I run MC from a command line I see messages about "unhandled message, wParam, lParam, etc, as though it's just not done yet.

Obvious question:any idea where it is "on the list" & when it might get added?

Right near the top. Not sure when though.
