not able to set a back up at this time. MC makes them. you can always make a back up yourself by selecting file>library>back up...
you can also tell MC where to put the back up....choose this before making the backup. tools>options>file locations> look to the bottom to find file location for backups.

You can make them manually. You can't schedule them.
Search your machine for .zip files. They may be in a directory other that how MC is set now.

Why can't you use Windows task scheduler?
20011 MCC_BACKUP_LIBRARY int nMode (0: normal, 1: silent automatic backup)
I haven't tested this MCC command, but it appears like it would do the trick.

Why can't you use Windows task scheduler?
Yep, been using windows task scheduler to do library backups every 12 hours (save 20), and then use an external backup program that saves all 20 of those every 24 hours to external disk.
