Added duration column?
« on: May 22, 2003, 07:24:44 am »

I would like to see a new column possibility. An added duration like so:

Song 1         3:45        3:45
Song 2         2:32        6:17
Song 3         5:03       11:20

If your making a playlist for a party this would be very helpful to help time the event.

It's a good idea -- maybe in the next version.

Until then, use the statusbar. (it'll show what's selected if you select more than one file, otherwise it shows everything)

Could we also have virtual fields for the tree nodes so that they display combined info in the node rather than just the single node info?

eg.  [Artist]/[Album] ([year]) [Avg. Rating] - [Genre] - [Num Tracks]

Aaliyah
- I Care For You (2002) 3.5 - RnB - 15 Tracks

Then if some of the files didn't match with the info it might display this:

Aaliyah
- I Care For You (2002) 3.5 - RnB - 14 Tracks
- I Care For You (2001) 3.5 - RnB - 1 Track

But then it'd be up to us to fix the tags.

We could also do this:

[Artist]/[Album]/[Track #] - [Name]

Aaliyah
- I Care For You
- - 1. Intro
- - 2. Blah

Which I remember some people asking for ages ago.

It'd REALLY take the organisational level to the next extreme and be WOW :)

Not worried about this before 10.0 but just a reminder of an old request similar to what Nila mentined but not half as complicated ;D

A way to sort the tree nodes by year rather than alphabetically.  Even if this means adding a virtual field Year so they sort on this...
