Pono Error screen on start up
« on: February 27, 2019, 05:07:39 am »

Hi,

My pono won't start up any more and is showing this screen.

Does anyone recognize it and/or have any suggestions on what the problem might be?

Thanks!!
Dan

So no one out there in pono land has ever seen this screen before? (I guess that is a good thing)

I have two other ones which have been working fine but this error is perplexing. I am willing to try things to get it going again but don't want to do anything fatal.

Thanks for any idea/suggestions!
Cheers,
Dan

Is it charged or charging?

I've seen devices that wouldn't boot if they were fully charged, maybe over-charged.  After unplugging and letting it sit a day, it would boot.

Did you try a Google search?  There is a way to do a factory reset.  I wouldn't do it until you have no other possibility.

Hi Jim,

thanks for the reply! I won't be able to check it for a few weeks since I am out of the country right now but I will see that has anything to do with it.

Factory reset is an option since I can easily reload the music files, unless the reset also reverts the firmware.

Cheers,
Dan
