It is my understanding that this should automatically get Series cover art.  It is retrieving the episode data correctly but I have to manually search for series cover art with Cover Art > Get from internet.

I believe Series and Season Cover Art is retrieved as a distinct step in the Import process, and not as part of Get Movie & TV Info, so repeating that step won't get it.
If a Series is named properly doing import (as scraped from the filename/directory name by MC), then it should also try to get a cover for it. If you renamed it after import, you'll have to use the Cover Art tool.

OK, thanks.  It sounds like "Get cover art" would need to be checked for AutoImport as well.
