Mouse Wheel Scrolling
« on: September 08, 2019, 08:18:55 am »

Hi,

A small feature request.

I would love to be able to use my mouse wheel to scroll through the long list of fields.
When I right click a column header to show the field list I can't do this and must use the arrows.
Sure it works, but it's slow.

Thanks!
Nicholas

The mouse wheel should scroll the field right-click menu no problem.

Make sure the cursor is actually over the menu.

If you have third-party mouse software installed, it's possible it's messing with things.

See attached pic just to check we are talking about the same thing.

I definitely can't vertically scroll that popup window of fields.

I can scroll the other window panes.

I'm using an MS mouse that works with all other apps. That popup window doesn't have a scrollbar though. It looks custom made to me.

No 3rd-party mouse software. Unless MS drivers fall under that now. :-)

Thanks,
Nicholas

I can most definitely use my mouse to scroll that menu.

Me too. Logitech keyboard with touchpad with scroll field on the side, Windows 10 with native driver. No Logitech software.

Also, hovering the pointer over the arrow at the bottom also scrolls pretty fast.

Well, that's plain weird then.

Hover over the Field list - scroll - nothing.
Move slightly to the left over the file pane - scroll - file pane scrolls.
Back to Field list - nothing.

Oh well. The IT Gremlins win that round I guess!

Thanks for the input guys.

If the movement amount is less than WHEEL_DELTA (120), there will be no movement.  I'll change this for the next build and please test.

History:
Changed: Made mouse wheel scrolling in a menu always scroll at least one item even if the scroll reported by the system is small (previously it could be discarded).

Thanks.
