Songs not hi-lited w/scrollbar in playing now mode

When you hi-lited a song in the playing now mode with version 7, as the songs would play down the list the hi-lited bar would scroll with them.  In version 8 it does not do this.  Or, can it?  Please advise how.

it also does not do it in MC9
