Normalizing mp3s
« on: May 05, 2003, 07:39:58 am »

I was wondering if MC9 was capable of normalizing mp3s, if not does anyone know of something good I could use?

It can do it on the initial CD to mp3 conversion, or upon conversion from one format to another (providing you generate a wav first...in fact, it can only normalize a wav file). Mp3Gain could be called a normalizer, but it's method is much better than just normalization. Do a web search for it. As the name implies, it will work on mp3's.

Exactly. The classic normalizing will spoil more than it fixes. Go for MP3 Gain or the built in gain system in MC 9.
