TV option for MAC
« on: December 14, 2019, 06:04:24 am »

When - if ever - there will be a TV option (plus some other things) that is standard in the Windows version for years now. The TV sticks are the same - only the software would have to be adapted. That would be a step that justifies a new version number and the money you have to pay for the update.
It's a bit strange, too, that the MC 26 MAC version is released so late after the Windows version.

Television support on Mac and Linux may not be possible, due to lack of drivers for TV-focused devices like tuners that typically only have drivers available on Windows and not Mac and Linux. So there's a good chance television support in MC is going to be a Windows-only feature.

It's actually not strange that the Mac and Linux builds for a new major MC version come later than Windows, this is how it's been for years now. Windows builds come first then weeks later the Mac and Linux builds start showing up.
