Sharp clicks when switching from DSD
« on: December 22, 2019, 03:35:17 am »

Hi!

I'm Eric from the Netherlands ans I am new to this board :-)

I recently purchased JRiver for Mac. When I load a DSD ISO file all is working well, until I press stop: a loud click/pop is heard, when it switches back to PCM mode. And when I say load I mean really loud...
When I am playing PCM at any bitrate, no pops or clicks, it is only when I play native (or DoP) DSD and I switch back to default PCM.

This sound is heard on both my DACs, which leads me to believe this is a JRiver issue.

Does anyone have the same issue, or maybe a solution?

Kind regards,

Eric

Probably the DAC.  Use MC DSP Studio and Output settings to force everything to. PCM.

Yep, quite common to happen with DACs - every one I've ever owned does it to some degree.
