Where is the television option for MC 25 for Mac?
« on: January 26, 2020, 12:49:44 pm »

Hi,
I upgraded to a master license (from Windows only) and installed MC 25 for the Mac platform. I may be missing something obvious but I can’t find any options for enabling TV viewing via my Silicon Dust HD Homerun tuner (or any tuner for that matter). I am running Catilina on the Mac. Any guidance would be appreciated. Also, I realize that MadVR (Red October HQ) is for Windows. Is there an equivalent program to optimize video quality in the Mac world available on MC? Thanks.

Television is Windows-only unfortunately, due to the lack of driver support in Linux and macOS for tuners and whatnot.

There is TV development going on in MC26. So far it's rudimentary, playback only for DLNA networked tuners and the recording feature isn't working yet. We expect to build on that. No guarantees that non-DLNA devices will ever be supported.
