This should probably have gone under weird & wonderful but (for me) the Reply and New Topic appears to have disappeared from that bit of the forum (?!). So it's here - and please do move as required.

My Intel NUC which is where my main instance of Media Centre is (26.0.98) is in a different room. I decided to do some ripping while watching TV. I used Windows Remote Desktop to access the NUC. MC 26 listed the CD drive as normal but then said there was no CD in it. File Manager showed there was a CD in it. So I disconnected the remote session and went to the NUC, clicked on the CD drive in JRiver and lo-and-behold, it read the CD and I could start the rip. Went back to the other PC, started another remote session and I could see JRiver ripping away as normal. But after that finished and I put in another CD, it wouldn't detect it as before.
