Ripping CD's to Double DSD
« on: July 08, 2020, 08:58:59 am »

Hi. New in this forum. Kindly need help with regards to cd ripping to Double DSD. Noticed popping/clicking sounds during playback of DSF files (Double DSD) ripped from CD's using JRiver version 26.0.098. Haven't encountered this problem from my CD rips to DSD using version 26.0.080. Any help how to fix, please?

P.S. also noticed I posted on the wrong topic. this is meant for JRiver Media Center 26 for Windows. Sorry.

Try ripping to FLAC or another lossless format, then converting.  DSD is challenging for a CPU.

Thanks for the tip but I was wondering why it happened after updating JRiver to 26.0.098. All my other DSD128 files ripped from cds using jriver 26.0.080 sounds fine without pops/clicks. Also, im using an Intel Core i7 8700K CPU.

Well after reading the thread it made me curious but he did mention that everything went well after updating to the latest version. He encountered the problem using JRiver 26.0.80 which... as opposed to my case. I guess all I can do now is wait for the next update. I hope it fixes the clicks and pops on playing DSD128 ripped files.

Thanks!
