repackage from DFF to DSF in version 27?
« on: July 28, 2020, 11:17:06 pm »

Im happy enough with version 26. Theres one thing I need though, and thats to be able to line up a bunch of DFF files, right click, and convert them to DSF. But only as a repackage with NO bump to PCM in the middle.

Will version 27 be able to do that?

For version 5.0.0, several new file formats and lossless DSD audio compression were added, making WavPack a universal audio archiving solution.

Well, if you convert DFF or DSF to WavPack it'll still go through a PCM stage right now.

Honestly I'm not even sure if you can repackage DFF/DSF to WavPack without any conversions. However it is possible to repackage DFF to DSF and vice versa without any conversions.
