I made a note about the new sort order feature of v9 yesterday and very many others have written support of my request to have it work like v8 over v9.

I've been using v9 for one day now, and the sort order never seems right, I must be clicking something to change it, but it's always wrong.  I correct it, set all view schemes the same as the corrected, one and later somewhere else it's wrong again.

I have decided that in my mind that this is a showstopper for me.  Very soon I'll have to go back to v8, the seemingly "random" order is too much like "shuffle" (in effect) and I can't deal with that.

So, PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK, Please?

2 things that might help...

If you're not using a mega-me skin, you don't get the benefit of seeing the column ordering in the column titles.  This was causing some confusion for me early on.

If you have sort criteria specificed in a smartlist or view scheme, it will override any other sort settings for that list or view.
