I just bought these two components recently and the sound quality paired with JRiver is great  but im amazed at the ammount I have to turn it up (80%!) to get decent listening levels -its running a set of Acoustat Spectra 11 electrostatic speaker which would be a little bit of a heavy load but iv'e never had to turn up an amp this much before-is this because its a digital preamp and should i turn it up on the jriver equalizer or is that going to damage the usb input on the Nad digital amp? its not distorting but ive never seen anything that needed to be turned up so much is that just a digital preamp thing?
