Hi everyone.
I haven't get the chance to play DSD file in native DSD format yet with the FIIO BTR5 using MC25. The box "Output DSD Files Native DSD Format" under "Device Settings" has to be untick in order to play the file, so it uses DSD file over DoP, sounds fantastic but you know...I want to try to get the best of that little device, if possible.
It does work in native DSD format using Hiby music player on my smartphone so I believe it's not an issue with the BTR5. If I tick the box I get the famous error:
"Something went wrong with playback"
Playback could not be started on the output 'ALSA' using the format 'DSD DSD64 (1x) 2ch'.
This output may not be supported by your hardware."
Here are the settings in MC25:
-hw:CARD=BTR5, DEV=0 [ALSA] (Direct Harware device without conversion)
-Device Settings: PCM Output Format: Auto
-Bitstreaming : Yes (DSD)
Files played: .Iso, .dsf, .dff
Any idea?
I don't see anything else to change, but if you do let me know.
Cheers.
