New MC 27.0.61 Linux failed to connect DLNA renderer, and more.
« on: February 05, 2021, 09:16:57 am »

I just upgrade my MC 27.0.59 to MC 27.0.61 Linux on my Pi 4B+.
Also I upgrade Windows version as well. Both DLNA Servers are active.
I use OPPO UDP-203 as DLNA Renderer, which is on same local network.

Now, Windows MC 27.0.61 can see my OPPO 203 as DLNA renderer. I can play music to OPPO, or OPPO can pull stream from Windows MC server.
But, new MC 27.0.61 Linux can't see my OPPO. It is not showing on "Playing Now" section on MC. But still OPPO can pull stream from my Pi. Raspberrypi DLNA is showing on OPPO's network menu.
Also, Windows MC, I can see Pi Library, but Pi can't see Windows Library.

There is something wrong about DLNA server on this Linux version. It can't see DLNA Renderer / but Renderer can see Server.

Sample rate conversion is now working correctly on Windows version. Thanks for quick fix for this.
But I can't check this on my Linux/Pi version because it can't connect to my renderer.
When my JRemote connect to MC on Pi, there is no renderer but only local player.

Am I have to uninstall all MC from my Pi and re-install it? Can it fix this problem? I strongly doubt it will.
Hope to you guys quick fix this problem.

I don't know of a problem like that.  Wait longer.

One thing that can cause this issue is if you have unchecked the DLNA controller checkbox on the Pi.  If you've unchecked that box, no renderers would show up, but the Pi could still see servers or function as a server.

It could also be a firewall issue intercepting the multicast packets advertising the renderer.  Do you have a firewall enabled on the Pi (either using ufw or done manually)?

I run several instances of MC for Linux and DLNA renderers show up for me just fine (once I ironed out my firewall rules!)

No firewall issues here. My renderer is dissapear just after I install new version by "sudo apt-get update / sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" command on terminal. I set "latest" repository, so it download automatically new version and inistall it.
I remove new version, and install again, problem continue....

Did you check whether the DLNA controller check box is checked under media network on the Pi? (it should be checked)

Woooooow :-X
My mistake. I never thought it is unchecked...! I read your previous reply but not pay attention about it 'cause I believe that it is still checked! I don't know why it is unchecked, by accident..? No idea.  :'(
After an hour or 2, install and remove and reinstall and all the hassles were stupid attempt! Sorry about it.
Now, everything is back on track.

All conversion options also work perfectly.
I will check more thing continue... thanks again, mwillems.  ;)
