The little red no go icons show that MC cannot find the files at the specified location - this can happen if you change the drive letter, filepath, or if you have the files on a drive which is not active when MC goes looking for them. What is drive U: ?

1. I am using a MAC Pro running Parallels with Windows 10 installed.
2. The path to the external drive (U) containing all the data is never changed.
    This drive (12 TB) is attached to MAC Pro through the Thunderbolt II.
3. JR media player is installed in Win 10.

Hope this give you some clues .
Thanks for the speedy reply.

If you have JRiver MC  starting automatically I would try altering that, let everything set itself up and then manually start MC by which time all of the attached drives should be visible to MC.

I moved a bunch of files and quite obviously get the red signs come up in MC25.

I'm trying to use the 'fix broken links' function outlined in the wiki: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Fix_Broken_Links

I have fix broken links set to: yes
Run auto-import in background.

Yet when I run MC25 the missing links still remain and music stops playing.  What am I doing wrong?

The wiki has a topic on Moving Files.

^

That doesn't help fix broken links.

Actually I think found the answer...

File -> Library -> Import -> Run Auto-Import Now

Imported 0 new files. Fixed 1509 broken links.

Looks like it's done the job.  Seems you have to go into options to setup the auto-import function, then through the file menu to actually run the newly configured auto-import.  It's a bit clunky and non-intuitive.
