I think JRiver just deleted several months worth of photos on my phone.
I am doing a project where I am syncing 282 GB of music and videos from my PC onto my Android phone's SanDisk 512GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card. I started the sync. It estimated it would take 3.5 hours, which seemed a little optimistic. When I came back a few hours later it seemed to be done. But my card on my phone had vanished; it was gone looking at it on the phone and also via looking at it on my computer. I rebooted the phone. No luck. I unplugged the USB cable and re-plugged it in. Now the card shows up, but it looks like it has been reformatted. There are only songs from A thru C. The Android folder structure is on the card, but it is empty. Mostly, it was a bunch of photos that are now gone. I took it out of the phone and used an adapter to see it on my computer. Same.
Does syncing in JRiver 27.0.85 normally cause reformatting of the card? Nothing warned me this was about to happen.
And is there any way to restore my photos?
This is really frustrating.
