Download music files and playlists to iOS device
« on: May 20, 2021, 09:08:45 am »

I would like to download my music files and playlists from Media Center on my pc to my iPad. What’s the easiest way to accomplish this?  Can this be done using the JRemote app on my iPad?  Some places I play don’t have wifi access so I need the music files to reside on my iPad.

Does your iPad shows up under Drives&Devices at the bottom of the menu tree when plugging it in to USB? If it is recognised as a device you follow the normal device synch options in the Wiki/help. Right click the device and hit options to setup what is synchronised to the device.

With Apple being a closed garden on it's software (Apple only) you may need a different iOS app to recognise the tracks loaded elsewhere in storage instead iTunes on iPad. This is no an MC issue but one for Apple. I ditched Apple devices years ago because everything needs an adapter to talk to the rest of the world!

If I get the music files moved to the iPad, is JRemote an option to play those files?
