Control MJ through LAN

Hi I'm a first time user from MJ and need some help.
I have a LAN in my house with a music server connected to my audio system.
I have several laptops through the house which I want to use to control MJ on the music server.
I have seen some plug-ins but don't know how to use them.
Can anyone point me in the right direction??

There is an "interface" plug-in called WebRemote.  You could start by installing it.  Try a search here for details.

Then there are two pieces of software that can talk to it.  They are Glissando and NetRemote.  A search will find them.  Each of them needs its own version of WebRemote installed.
