Id's and MC28 support
« on: November 18, 2021, 04:46:47 pm »

The current IdNUC's which we started shipping using NUC7's can be updated to MC28.
If you do a OTA update using item 12 from the main menu and it updates to
Id 25.0.12
Then you have an Id capable of MC28.

The IdPi's shipped starting with support of RaspberryPi 4's WILL have MC28 soon. It's in testing now.

Older Id's and IdPi's will need to upgraded to get MC28.
None of those can get to MC28 with OTA updates, the operating system is completely different, they will need to sent to us for updating.

If you have a IdPi4 capable build, just run option 12 from the main menu.

Recently had my Id updated to MC28. It is no longer visible on my network nor is it remotely accessible by Microsoft or VNC. Tried all the Samba suggestions!

A  fresh Id will require that you re-enter the license key from the option 18 on the main menu.

If yours is licensed look at option 11 to see your network interfaces. Were you connected wireless or wired?

Hi! Ibought an JRiver Id memory stick on november 2015 with Invoice ID 0273. I didn't use it much because I had a lot of machines running and a lot of gear, dacs etc. to play with and I forgot about it. Now I am thinking what about to give it a try again and to compare it with the modern gear that I have but I wonder, because you discontinued the product can it be update it to JRiver 28/29? Did you have that in mind in 2015? I paid 99$ for it. Can it be updated from inside? Thank you!

It hasn't been discontinued. We can't get raspberry pi's right now.  You can return the micro SD card and we will rebuild it.  Contact Deanna at JRiver for the details.

Just like you install windouws from usb memory stick! I believe it was a small time window at the first appearance off the jriver id when you only where selling intel nuc with jriver id installed and a memory stick with id image for home installing! Thank you!
